He loves you.
He just can't photograph you.

You know the drill: 47 photos on your trip, and not one you'd post. Send him this page before the next one. Two minutes, three tricks — and your camera roll (and your mood) survives.

The 5 classic boyfriend photo sins

Check every sin he's guilty of. Be honest — this is a safe space.

3 tricks that fix 90% of it

Forward him this part. Each one takes ten seconds to learn.

  1. Turn on the grid

Your phone has a 3×3 grid in the camera settings. Put her eyes on one of the top intersections. That's it — that single trick is behind half of all good portraits ever taken.

  2. Never cut at the joints

Crop mid-thigh or mid-torso. Never at the knees, elbows, or ankles — cropping there visually amputates. This one fix alone ends the "where are my feet" era.

  3. Leave space where she's looking

If she's looking left, leave empty space on the left side of the frame. Faces need room to breathe — cramming her against the edge is what makes photos feel wrong.

Reading tips is step one. Remembering them isn't.

This is where boyfriends fail: mid-trip, golden hour, she's waiting — and every trick evaporates. BoyfriendCam puts the composition guides right in his viewfinder, so he literally cannot forget. Grid, golden spiral, phi grid — on screen, while he shoots.
